The KOVA® systems include disposable tubes, caps, pipets, and slides designed to standardize urinalysis in the laboratory

The KOVA® Slide II is a four-chambered slide, available with or without grids. The KOVA® Glasstic® slide is a precision manufactured, 10-chambered slide available with or without a hemocytometer-type grid. The Glasstic® slide grid is in the focal plane of the specimen, allowing for use over a range of magnification. Designed for use with urine specimens, both slides provide a safe, disposable means for the microscopic examination of clinical samples. The KOVA® Super Tube is a 12mL graduated nonsterile disposable centrifuge tube manufactured of high-quality, break-resistant clear plastic. Economy tubes are made from styrene. The KOVA® Petter is a disposable plastic transfer pipet that features a unique lock tip that provides a one-step, contamination-free decanting method, retaining 1.0mL of urine after centrifugation. KOVA® caps prevent spillage and aerosol contamination. The decanting rack holds up to 10 specimens.

KOVA Liqua-Trol® is a ready-to-use bi-level liquid control for use with all major brands of urine chemistry dipsticks. Liqua-Trol® is stable at room temperature for 30 days and for the full labeled dating when stored in a refrigerator. KOVA-Trol® controls are tri-level, lyophilized urine dipstick chemistry controls that are value-assigned for visual and instrument-aided testing of all major brands of urine chemistry strips. Extensive value assignments in the high abnormal, low abnormal, and normal ranges increase confidence in patient results. Controls are stable for 18 months when refrigerated. After reconstitution, controls are stable for five to seven days at room temperature. KOVA® Stain is a modified Sternheimer-Malbin stain that facilitates differentiation and enhances visualization of formed elements in urine sediment.

The System Super Pac 1000 includes 100 Glasstic® 10-chambered slides, 1000 Petters, 1000 Super Tubes, and is available with or without caps. The System Pac II includes 100 KOVA® Slide II slides (400 chambers), 400 Petters, and 400 Super Tubes. The System Value Pack 500 includes 50 Glasstic® 10-chambered slides, 500 Petters, and 500 economy tubes. The KO-LEC-PAC® includes 500 Super Tubes, 500 caps, 500 cups, 500 labels, and five transport racks.
