Temperature accuracy for the Type–T probe is ±3.6 °F (±2.0 °C), or ±0.4% of reading above 32 °F (0 °C); ±0.8% of reading below 32 °F (0 °C). Temperature accuracy for the Type–K probe is ±3.0 °F (1.1 °C) or ±0.4% reading above 212 °F(100 °C); ±3.6 °F (2.2 °C) or 2% of reading between –58 to 211 °F (–50 to 99 °C); ±7.2 °F (4 °C) or ±4% of reading between –60 to –238 (–51 to –150 °C), whichever is greater. Temperature accuracy for the Type–J probe is ±5.9 °F (±3.3 °C), or ±0.4% of reading above 32 °F (0 °C); ±4.0% of reading below 32 °F (0 °C).
