Although Platinum Crucibles and Dishes are made to withstand extreme temperatures and are resistant to many acids and corrosive media, they can be damaged due to careless handling.

It is therefore recommended that Platinum Crucibles and/or Dishes be handled with Platinum Tipped Tongs while placing in and removing from a hot furnace.
