CytoSelect™ 96-Well Cell Transformation Assay (Soft Agar Colony Formation) is suitable for measuring cell transformation where no downstream analysis is required
This assay uses a proprietary soft agar medium for superior results. Cells are incubated in a semisolid agar medium for 6-8 days, where they are allowed to form colonies. The medium is then solubilized, and the cells are lysed and detected in a fluorometric plate reader.
Total assay time is drastically reduced from 3 weeks to about 6-8 days, and no manual cell counting is required. Quantitation is attained using the provided fluorescent dye.
