Microscale Claisen Adapter head is often used to facilitate syringe addition of reagents to sealed or moisture-sensitive systems.

The top joints are combination cap, thread and standard taper joints to accommodate and seal other microscale apparatus. The O.D. of the top joints have an external thread to facilitate an o-ring and open-top phenolic cap. The internal or I.D. at the top is a ground outer joint. With inner standard taper joint at bottom. Supplied with two threaded caps with hole, two PTFE-faced silicone rubber septa and two o-rings.
