Several EPA and ASTM methods require a polyurethane foam (PUF) cartridge for monitoring semi-volatiles in stack, ambient, indoor, and workplace atmospheres.

Small PUF cartridges are useful for the 1 to 5 L/min sampling range. ORBO-1000 small PUF cartridges are useful for ASTM D4861, EPA IP-8 and EPA TO-10A (Pesticides/PCBs); ASTM D4947 (Chlordane/Heptachlor). ORBO-1500 cartridges are recommended for Pesticide/PCB applications.

Large PUF cartridges allow sampling rates up to 225 L/min with low pressure drop. ORBO-2500 PUF cartridges are recommended for the following applications: pesticides, PCBs, PAHs, and Dioxins.
