Anti-STAU1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-STAU1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

STAU1 is a member of a family of double-stranded RNA (dsRNA)-binding proteins involved in the transport and/or localization of mRNAs to different subcellular compartments and/or organelles. These proteins are characterized by the presence of multiple dsRNA-binding domains which are required to bind RNAs having double-stranded secondary structures. The human STAU1 also contains a microtubule- binding domain similar to that of microtubule-associated protein 1B, and binds tubulin. STAU1 has been shown to be present in the cytoplasm in association with the rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER), implicating this protein in the transport of mRNA via the microtubule network to the RER. STAU1 is also known to interact with influenza ribonucleoproteins NS1, NP, and PA and is required for efficient viral replication.

Anti-TLR3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-TLR3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are evolutionarily conserved pattern-recognition molecules resembling the toll proteins that mediate antimicrobial responses in Drosophila. These proteins recognize different microbial products during infection and serve as an important link between the innate and adaptive immune responses. The TLRs act through adaptor molecules such as MyD88 and TIRAP to activate various kinases and transcription factors so the organism can respond to potential infection. TLR3 is known to recognize viral double-stranded (ds) RNA, a molecular pattern associated with viral infection. Recently it has been shown to recognize viruses such as Influenza A and West Nile Virus and can mediate entry of at least West Nile Virus.

Anti-GRIK1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-GRIK1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Prosci

Grik1 Antibody: Glutamate receptors are the predominant excitatory neurotransmitter receptors in the mammalian brain and are activated in a variety of normal neurophysiologic processes. Grik1, also known as glutamate receptor 5, belongs to the kainate family of glutamate receptors, which are composed of four subunits and function as ligand-activated ion channels. Grik1 is expressed in GABAergic interneurons of the hippocampus and are thought to participate in the formation of various subtypes of kainate receptors with Grik2 and KA2. Stimulation of Grik1 leads to intracellular calcium release and activation of protein kinase C. Excessive activation has been associated with psychiatric, neurological and neurodegenerative diseases. Numerous isoforms of Grik1 are known to exist and may be subject to RNA editing within the second transmembrane domain, which is thought to alter the properties of ion flow.

Anti-AKIRIN2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-AKIRIN2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

The highly conserved, nuclear-localized Akirin1 and Akirin2 proteins critically regulate the transcription of NF-kB-dependent genes and are required for defense against Gram-negative bacteria in the immune deficiency and NF-kB pathways. Akirin1 is dispensable in the mouse, and neither knockout mice nor cells derived from them have obvious distinctive phenotypes. In contrast, Akirin2 is required for development in the mouse and knockout of both Akirin homologs in mice show that Akirin2 is required downstream of toll-like receptor (TLR), TNF-a and IL-1b signaling, and for the production of IL-6. Akirin2 is functionally closer to the single gene in Drosophila, as the homozygous null D. melanogaster Akirin mutants show a similar, mid-to-early embryonic death.

DcR2 Antibody: Apoptosis is induced by certain cytokines including TNF and Fas ligand in the TNF family through their death domain containing receptors. TRAIL/Apo2L is a new member of the TNF family and induces apoptosis of a variety of tumor cell lines. DR4 and DR5 are the recently identified functional receptors for TRAIL, and DcR1/TRID is a decoy receptor. Another member of the TRAIL receptor family was more recently identified and designated DcR2, TRAIL-R4, or TRUNDD. DcR2 has an extracellular TRAIL-binding domain but lacks intracellular death domain and does not induce apoptosis. Like DR4 and DR5, DcR2 transcript is widely expressed in normal human tissues. Overexpression of DcR2 attenuated TRAIL-induced apoptosis.

Anti-HTRA2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-HTRA2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Prosci

OMI Antibody: Inhibitor of apoptosis proteins (IAPs) were initially identified in baculoviruses as proteins that inhibit apoptosis of the host cells to allow time for viral replication. Cellular homologues containing at least one baculoviral IAP repeat (BIR) motif essential for their anti-apoptosis activity have been identified in yeasts and higher organisms and often act by binding and inhibiting processed caspases. The activity of these proteins can be modulated by the expression of proteins such as Smac/DIABLO and XAF-1 which displace or prevent the binding of caspases by IAPs. Recently, a mitochondrial serine protease termed Omi/HtrA2 has been found to bind IAPs. Similar to Smac, Omi possesses a conserved IAP-binding motif, but acts to cleave IAPs to irreversibly inactivate IAPs and promote apoptosis.

Anti-APOBEC3G Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-APOBEC3G Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Prosci

APOBEC3G Antibody: The Apoliprotein B mRNA-editing, enzyme-catalytic, polypeptide-like (APOBEC) 3 is a multi-isoform member of the cytidine deaminase family of enzymes that act on monomeric nucleoside and nucleotide substrates. Similar to TRIM5 alpha which targets incoming retroviral capsids, APOBEC3 plays a major role in cellular defense against retroviral infection as at least two isoforms, APOBEC3G and to a lesser extent APOBEC3F, can be incorporated HIV-1 virions and induce hypermutation in the newly synthesized viral DNA and thus destabilize the viral genome. This innate mechanism of retroviral resistance is counteracted by the HIV-1 Vif protein by inducing the ubiquitization and degradation of APOBEC3G; a single amino acid substitution (D128K) blocks APOBEC3G depletion without affecting its inhibitory activity.

Anti-ARL6IP1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-ARL6IP1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

Apoptosis is important for normal development and tissue homeostasis. It is mediated by various caspases and ultimately results in the activation of endogenous endonucleases that degrade cellular DNA. Although apoptosis induced by endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress is thought to be mediated by caspase-12, other caspases such as caspase-9 are also thought to be activated following ER stress. Recently, ARMER, a novel integral ER-membrane protein was shown to protect cells from ER stress-induced apoptosis. Analysis of the caspase proteolytic cascade suggests that ARMER acts by inhibiting caspase-9 activity, although the mechanism for this remains unkown. It should be noted that ARMER is not related to the inhibitor of apoptosis proteins (IAP) family and does not contain any baculoviral IAP repeat (BIR) domains.

Anti-GPR124 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-GPR124 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

Tumor endothelial markers (TEMs) are significantly up-regulated during angiogenesis and neoangiogensis that are crucial for the growth of solid tumors. TEMs localized on the cell surface and conserved across species are of particular interest for future development of anti-angiogenic therapies. These include TEMs such as TEM1, TEM5, TEM7 and TEM8. TEM5 is a member of the adhesion family of G protein coupled receptors and is localized on the surface of endothelial cells. TEM5 is a seven-pass transmembrane receptor, unlike TEM1, TEM7 and TEM8 which span the membrane once. TEM5 is abundantly expressed in tumor vessels, heart, placenta, ovary, small intestine, and colon. Proteolytically processed soluble TEM5 mediates endothelial cell survival during angiogenesis by linking integrin to glycosaminoglycans.

Precerebellin is the precursor of the brain-specific hexadecapeptide cerebellin, a protein with substantial similarity to the globular region of the B chain of complement component C1q. Cerebellin exerts neuromodulatory functions by directly stimulating norepinephrine release via the adenylate cyclase/pka- dependent signaling pathway; and indirectly enhances adrenocortical secretion in vivo, through a paracrine mechanism involving medullary catecholamine release. The active form of precerebellin is highly enriched in postsynaptic structures of cerebellar Purkinje cells in cartwheel neurons of the dorsal cochlear nucleus. Because precerebellin belongs to the C1q/tumor necrosis factor superfamily of secreted proteins and has similarity to adiponectin and CTRP3, it has been suggested that precerebellin posseses functions other than those already stated.

Anti-NOD2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-NOD2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

Apaf-1 and NOD1 are members of a new family, which are involved in the regulation of apoptosis and immune response. Each of them contains a caspase recruitment domain (CARD) and a nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain (NOD). A third member in this family was recently identified and designated NOD2. NOD2 interacts with RICK via a homophilic CARD-CARD interaction. NOD2 activates NF-kB, which is regulated by its carboxy-terminal leucine-rich repeat domain that acts as an intracellular receptor for components of bacteria. The variants of NOD2, either a frameshift or a missense, were associated with Crohn's disease that is a main type of chronic inflammatory bowel disease.

Anti-SH3GLB1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-SH3GLB1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

Apoptosis plays a major role in normal organism development, tissue homeostasis, and removal of damaged cells and is caused by the activation of proteolytic enzymes termed caspases. Proteins that comprise the Bcl-2 family such as Bax appear to control the activation of these enzymes. Bax activity was found to be regulated by its association with Bax-interacting factor 1 (BIF), a member of the endophilin B family that is associated with intracellular membranes. Following this interaction, Bax undergoes a conformational change and translocates to mitochondrial membranes. The Bax/BIF interaction appears to be enhanced by apoptotic stimuli, suggesting that BIF acts as the trigger to activate Bax, and as suppression of BIF promoted HeLa cell colony formation in soft agar, it may have a role in the suppression of cancer progression. At least two isoforms of BIF are known to exist.

Anti-AGAP2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-AGAP2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Prosci

PIKE Antibody: Phosphoinositide 3 kinase enhancer (PIKE) is a recently identified nuclear GTPase that interacts with nuclear phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3 kinase) to stimulate its lipid kinase activity. PIKE exists in multiple isoforms; a shorter C-terminal isoform (PIKE-A) has also been identified as centaurin gamma 1. The longest isoform (PIKE-L) has been shown to bind to the adaptor protein Homer and thereby link to metabotropic glutamate receptors, leading to activation of PI3 kinase activity and prevention of neuronal apoptosis. Overexpression of PIKE-A enhances Akt activity and promotes cancer cell invasion, whereas decreased expression of PIKE-A via dominant negative expression of PIKE-A or PIKE-A knockdown inhibits these processes. In many human cancers, expression of PIKE-A is enhanced, leading to increased Akt activity and preventing apoptosis.

Anti-PLAC1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

PLAC1 was initially identified as a protein expressed specifically in the placenta and other cells derived from the trophoblast lineage during embryonic development, but has also been found to be expressed ectopically in a wide range of human malignancies, particularly breast cancers. PLAC1 is a membrane-associated protein that is thought to serve a receptor-like function modulating cell-cell or ligand receptor interactions unique to the maternal-placental interface. Decreased expression of PLAC1 is associated with decreased expression of cyclin D1 and reduced expression of AKT kinase, which, combined with the fact that PLAC1 is expressed on the surface of cancer cells, suggests that PLAC1 may be an effective candidate for immunotherapeutic treatments of cancer.

Anti-SDHD Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

The mitochondrial succinate dehydrogenase complex subunit D (SDHD) is one of four proteins that make up the tricarboxylic cycle enzyme succinate dehydrogenase (SCH). Studies have shown that mutations in SDHD often leads to hereditary paragangliomas, usually benign tumors of the autonomic nervous system, suggesting that SDHD also plays a role as a tumor-suppressor gene. In one family with a nonsense mutation (R22X) in the SDHD gene, a loss of heterozygosity was found in the paragangliomas, and within these tumors the enzymatic activity of Complex II in the mitochondrial respiratory chain was completely abolished. Furthermore, high levels of angiogenic factors EPAS1 and VEGF was observed, which may stimulate tumor growth.

Anti-CASP8 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-CASP8 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Prosci

Caspase-8 Antibody: Caspases are a family of cysteine proteases that can be divided into the apoptotic and inflammatory caspase subfamilies. Unlike the apoptotic caspases, members of the inflammatory subfamily are generally not involved in cell death but are associated with the immune response to microbial pathogens. The apoptotic subfamily can be further divided into initiator caspases, which are activated in response to death signals, and executioner caspases, which are activated by the initiator caspases and are responsible for cleavage of cellular substrates that ultimately lead to cell death. Caspase-8 is an initiator caspase that was identified as a member of the Fas/APO-1 death-inducing signaling complex. The adaptor molecule FADD couples procaspase-8 to the Fas receptor death domain; subsequent oligomerization promotes procaspase-8 autoactivation. FLIP, a catalytically inactive caspase-8-like molecule inhibits these interactions and thus can inhibit apoptosis. This antibody will only detect isoform E of caspase-8.

Anti-MUC1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

Mucin 1 (MUC1) is membrane-bound protein member of the mucin family. Mucins are O-glycosylated proteins that play an essential role in forming protective mucous barriers on epithelial surfaces and also play a role in intracellular signaling (1). MUC1 is expressed on the apical surface of epithelial cells that line the mucosal surfaces of many different tissues including lung, breast stomach and pancreas. MUC1 is proteolytically cleaved into alpha and beta subunits that form a heterodimeric complex. The N-terminal alpha subunit functions in cell-adhesion and the C-terminal beta subunit is involved in cell signaling. Overexpression, aberrant intracellular localization, and changes in glycosylation of this protein have been associated with carcinomas (1).

Anti-NOX1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-NOX1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

Voltage-gated proton (hydrogen) channels play an important role in cellular defense against acidic stress (1). NOX1 is a homolog of the catalytic subunit of the superoxide-generating NADPH oxidase of phagocytes, gp91phox (1). Three splice variants of NOX1 have been identified, NOH-1L, NOH-1S and NOH-1Lv (2). NOH-1S is a voltage-gated proton channel that participates in the regulation of cellular pH and is blocked by zinc. NOH-1L is a pyridine nucleotide-dependent oxidoreductase that generates superoxide and might conduct H(+) ions as part of its electron transport mechanism, whereas NOH-1S does not contain an electron transport chain (1-3). NOX1 have the potential to be effective treatments for a range of ischemic diseases (4).

Anti-DSTYK Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-DSTYK Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Prosci

RIPK1 Antibody: RIPK1 (Receptor Interacting Protein) is a crucial 74 kD adaptor kinase in several of stress-induced signaling pathways and on the crossroad of a cell's decision to live or die. RIPK1 contains an N-terminal region with homology to protein kinases, an intermediate domain capable of association with MAPKKK and a C-terminal region containing a death domain motif present in the Fas and TNFR1 intracellular domains. Full length RIPK1 is important for signallling to NFkappa -B, MAPKs and necrosis, whereas caspase-8 generates a C-terminal RIPK1 cleavage fragment, promoting TNF-induced apoptosis. It is required for TNFRSF1A-mediated and TLR3-induced NF-kappa B activation. RIPK1-deficient mice fail to thrive, displaying extensive apoptosis in both lymphoid and adipose tissues and dying at 1-3 days of age.

Anti-SLC37A2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-SLC37A2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Prosci

Slc37A2 Antibody: The Slc37 gene family consists of four members which have 10-12 predicted transmembrane domains and belong to the sugar-phosphate transporter superfamily. Recent experiments have demonstrated that Slc37A2 is a macrophage-specific gene selectively expressed in obese white adipose tissue. Its transcript is also expressed in spleen and thymus and the cell lines RAW264.7 and THP-1. Compared to wild-type mice, Slc37A2 mRNA is expressed at nine-fold higher levels in abdominal epididymal fat deposits of ob/ob mice, suggesting that it may be required to limit the contribution of macrophages to the inflammatory state present in obesity. Slc37A2 protein is post-translationally modified with the addition of N-linked glycans and migrates as a heterogeneous species of 50-75kDa.
