These flasks can be used for storage, media preparation, mammalian, microbial, and plant cell culture and related applications.
Flasks are manufactured from virgin, medical-grade resin that retains its clarity after being exposed to gamma radiation. They are inert, non-leaching, and provide a wide temperature tolerance and uniform thickness. They are also tested with E. coli cultures for improved nucleic acid yield. Flasks are available with either a flat or baffled base, and they will fit all standard shaking incubator clamps. Molded-in graduations are included on all sizes.
The 125mL, 250mL, 500mL and 1L flasks are available with a vented cap with a 0.22µm pore-size PTFE membrane for aerobic (sterile air exchange) and a solid cap for anaerobic (no air transfer) applications. The 2L and 3L flasks come with a convenient vented duo cap that makes switching caps easy; simply remove the dustguard cover to allow sterile exchange, and then replace the cover when ready.
