About this item

RPMI1640 medium modified to contain 2 mM Lglutamine, 10 mM HEPES, 1 mM sodium pyruvate, 4500 mg/L glucose, and 1500 mg/L sodium bicarbonate, for use in incubators using 5% CO2 in air. Additional sodium bicarbonate may be required for use in incubators containing higher percentages of CO2.

Sterility tests are performed on each lot of medium using current USP methods. Each lot of medium is also checked for its ability to support the growth of several different cell lines using both sequential subcultures and plating efficiencies.
