These indicators monitor steam, time, and temperature for sterilization cycles of 121°C (250°F) and 134°C (272°F). The pre-printed standard reference color permits rapid visualization of the results, with an arrow and a letter K darkening in color to match the reference letter O if sterilization meets requirements. An indicator dot imprint on the distal end of the strip permits a secure sterile presentation.

Type 4 Chemical Indicator can be used to determine whether all critical parameters, time, temperature and saturation of steam. OK® Strips feature instantly recognizable 'OK' symbol after exposure to an effective steam sterilization cycle. K will turn from off white/white to dark brown/black color. 8" OK® Strip also features an indicator dot at the opposing end of the strip to extend it's reach in a tray or other sterilization package.
