The two DET-GRAS N units are soxhlet type, two stage, automated solvent extraction equipment for the determination of fat in foodstuffs, including dairy, animal feedstuffs, fish, meat, and preprepared foods.
- Fast and accurate, allowing increased throughput compared to traditional Soxhlet
- Thermocouple control of temperature with over- temperature cut-off device
- Extractions can be performed with glass (Ext.Ø×H: 34×80) or cellulose (Ext.Ø×H: 26×60) thimbles
- Solvent volume per sample approx 50 ml, with solvent recovery in the range of 60 to 80%
- Outercase made from epxy coated steel – resistant to solvents
The two DET-GRAS N units are automated two-stage Soxhlet solvent extraction equipment used in the determination of fat in foodstuffs, including dairy products, animal feed, fish, meat and prepared foods.
Temperature range: 100 to 270 °C
Delivery: Each unit is supplied with 25 cellulose sample thimbles and the following per place: 3× aluminium tubes for thimble support; 3× extraction support for thimbles; 3× aluminium solvent beakers; 1× butyl joint and 1× viton joint. Each unit is also supplied with tongs; magnetic tong for thimble manipulation; support rack; support handle; thimble racks (3× for 6 place) and support rack beakers (3× for 6 place).
