Pair of Helmholtz coils
Supplier: American 3B Scientific
Helmholtz coils are used to produce a homogeneous magnetic field. Experiments on induction and electron deflection can be performed with the Rotary Frame with Flat Coil and the Fine Beam Tube. The coils can be used in parallel or in series and feature a spring clip on the cross bar to mount a Hall Sensor for measurements of the magnetic field. The maximum field strength generated by the coils (~ 4 mT) is approximately 750 times weaker than that produced by an MRI machine (~ 3T), which are known to be safe for use by people with medical implants such as pacemakers.

Human Recombinant BDNF (from E. coli)
Supplier: Shenandoah Biotechnology
Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is a nerve growth factor that binds two receptors, the low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor (LNGFR) and the tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB), to support neuron growth and survival. BDNF expression in the hippocampus is essential for long-term memory storage and learning. Human, mouse, rat, and pig BDNF are cross-reactive.

Anti-ITPKA Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Proteintech
ITPKA(Inositol-trisphosphate 3-kinase A) belongs to the inositol phosphokinase (IPK) family. It accumulates in dendritic spines and seems to be critically involved in synaptic plasticity. The protein possesses two functional activities. In neurons, ITPKA is targeted to F-actin via an N-terminal actin binding domain (amino acids 1–66) and is relevant for long term potentiation and spatial learning.

Anti-MEF2C Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Proteintech
MEF2C belongs to the MEF2 family. It is a transcription activator which binds specifically to the MEF2 element present in the regulatory regions of many muscle-specific genes. MEF2C controls cardiac morphogenesis and myogenesis, and is also involved in vascular development. It plays an essential role in hippocampal-dependent learning and memory by suppressing the number of excitatory synapses and thus regulating basal and evoked synaptic transmission. It is crucial for normal neuronal development, distribution, and electrical activity in the neocortex and is necessary for proper development of megakaryocytes and platelets and for bone marrow B lymphopoiesis. This protein is required for B-cell survival and proliferation in response to BCR stimulation, efficient IgG1 antibody responses to T-cell-dependent antigens and for normal induction of germinal center B cells. It may also be involved in neurogenesis and in the development of cortical architecture.
