Polycarbin's line of low-carbon lab products are designed for the sustainability-minded scientist. When designing our line of pipette tips, we focused on the tip box, or 'rack,' which is the most dense, carbon-intensive piece of plastic.
All tip boxes, of any brand, can be remanufactured and transformed into the next line of lab products using Polycarbin's Alpha Carbin, a mailback service.
Certifications: Certified sterile and DNase, RNase and pyrogen free. We base our estimations on a 2018 LCA from the Association of Plastic recyclers. This LCA measures the emissions reductions of recycling 1lb of polypropylene 1 time which confers a 71% reduction in emissions when compared to virgin material.
