Octagon magnetic stirring bars with integral pivot ring are the most commonly used shape
- Alnico magnet encapsulated in FDA Grade, USP Class VI Teflon® PTFE low friction coating; durable and inert
- Interrupted profile provides greater surface area and added turbulence when compared to the smooth surface of cylindrical bars
- Pivot ring aids in reducing friction and chattering
- Manufactured in a registered ISO 9001:2008 facility, as verified by SGS certification
Available in red, yellow or blue. All stir bars have a pivot ring with the exception of the 12.7 x 3mm sizes (58949-044, -046, and -050). Autoclavable.
