The Lexan® resins employed are environmentally conforming to flame retardancy, scratch resistance, heat resistance, weatherability, biocompatibility, optical quality, and compliance with stringent FDA and USP requirements.

All bottles are produced and packaged in a cleanroom controlled environment and do not require rinsing prior to first use. Consequently, all VWR® polycarbonate vessels offer a safe alternative to glass. Bottles are ideal for use in applications including steam sterilization of all biologicals, liquids, reagents, media buffers, and aqueous solutions. They withstand repeated autoclaving, and are optimal for microbial culture media production and preparation of terminally sterile fluids.
