Upchurch Scientific® cartridge-style Inline Check Valves are designed to limit flow in one direction

For post-column derivitization, place item 53500-796 Inline Check Valve Assembly on the effluent side of a column to prevent derivatizing agents from flowing backwards and poisoning the column. Placement on the post-colmn reagent line will also prevent mobile phase from contaminating the reagent if the auxiliary pump fails.

Two pressure values are presented in describing these check valves; CRACKING PRESSURE is the pressure required for the valve to open in the direction of intended flow. MAXIMUM PRESSURE is the maximum pressure the valve can experience in the reverse direction without leaking backwards.

Replacement cartridge 53500-798 can be purchased separately for extended use.
