Upchurch Scientific® Ultra-Low Volume Back Pressure Regulators (BPRs) were developed to minimize swept volume, which is especially important for multi-detector applications

All data in the order information below was generated using water at room temperature. The back pressure setting data was set at a flow rate of 0.5mL/min. for items 53501-328 and 53501-020, and at 5mL/min. for item 21511-650.

Note: Ultra-Low Volume Back Pressure Regulators cannot be used as check valves due to their unique internal design - try the Upchurch Scientific Micro-Volume Inline Check Valve for applications where flow must be limited to one direction.

With a maximum swept volume of only 6µL (for the back pressure regulator only – this does not include the volume of the attached tubing lines), it is nearly impossible to detect these BPRs as part of your fluid pathway. To minimize the swept volume added to your flow path, it is recommended the attached tubing length is trimmed. The BPRs completely polymeric flow path ensures biocompatibility.
