These assays are used to screen and quantify plasma fibrinogen based on the Clauss method
They are useful in screening for fibrinogen disorders by measuring the formation of the fibrin clot, and detect acquired and congenital hemorrhagic disorders. The tests have a reconstituted stability of 8 hours when stored at 2 to 8°C (36 to 46°F). Test components are also available separately.
