This hole punches are consists of a spring-loaded, palm-size plunger fitted into a cylindrical body. Accepts 32, 40 and 47 mm diameter XRF sample cups. Simply place the vent hole punch over the sample cup and gently depress plunger to establish the vent path.

This palm-held device greatly simplifies rupturing a ThermoPlastic® sample cup seal and creating a uniform vent hole for maintaining pressure equalization within the sample cup and sample chamber.
