Graphite ferrules have an upper temperature limit of 450°C (842°F) making them ideal for glass-to-metal connections since they do not adhere to glass
Vespel®/graphite (60%/40%) ferrules have an upper temperature limit of 400°C (842°F) and are recommended for GC/MS interface applications. Ferrules have precision-drilled inner diameter and do not seize onto the column allowing for reuse. The one-piece design does not require a back ferrule.
Vespel® (100%) ferrules are made from high temperature polyimide and have an upper temperature limit of 350°C (662°F). They are precision machined, not molded, for closer tolerances. Vespel is fairly hard, tends to stick to glass and is usually not reusable. The one-piece design does not require a back ferrule.
Fluoropolymer resin ferrules are completely inert and have an upper temperature limit of 250°C (482°F). The one-piece design does not require a back ferrule.
The one-piece design does not require a back ferrule and is reusable if not over tightened. Precision formed from high-purity graphite with a flash-free inner diameter.
