Xylene and chemical-resistant labels for the identification of microscope slides that will undergo long-term chemical exposure and immersion.
- Temperature range: –80 to 120 ℃ (–112 to 248 ℉)
- Excellent stain resistance, ideal for microscope slides used in histology
- Recommended for routine as well as special staining protocols
- Withstand exposure to xylene, toluene, hexane, acetone, alcohols, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), acetonitrile (ACN), and other common solvents
- Resistant to the new generation of safer, non-toxic, xylene alternatives/substitutes
- Compatible with automated slide processors
- Waterproof and abrasion-resistant
- Compatible with all common thermal-transfer barcode printers
- XAR-class resin ribbon recommended
Intended for use on flat surfaces, these solvent-resistant labels, along with their printout, can withstand immersion in xylene for up to 15 hours on a microscope slide (thorough testing in end-user application conditions is highly recommended). They are also resistant to other common lab chemicals, such as alcohols, toluene, and acetone, including long-term exposure and immersion in the newer generation of safer clearing and deparaffinizing xylene substitutes such as EZ Prep, Clearify™, Histo-Clear™, Formula 83™, and Pro-Par.
Compatible with all major commercially available thermal transfer barcode printers, these chemical-resistant histology labels can be printed with alphanumeric text, 1D and 2D barcodes, and serialized numbers using the recommended XAR-class of chemical-resistant ribbons.
