Inner glass door permits viewing of samples without disturbing chamber environment in 317 L unit. Silicone gasket on outer door and 7.6 cm (3") thick fiberglass insulation prevents heat loss for high temperature uniformity. Circuit breaker protects against power surges and internal electrical outlet allows operation of a shaker, stirrer or other lab apparatus. The low-watt density heater elements are designed for long life.
Temperature is displayed on a large, three-character screen; can be easily set from 5 °C above ambient to up to 75 °C (depending on model) in 0.1 °C increments using touch-sensitive arrow keys. Gravity convection offers gentle drying with heat-generated convection to move air vertically through the chamber to heat samples.
