Anti-NCAM1 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [clone: NCAM1/784]

Supplier: Biotium

This MAb reacts with an extracellular domain (close to transmembrane) of CD56/NCAM. Three isoforms of neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM) are produced by differential splicing of the RNA transcript from a single gene. The 135 kDa isoform is the basic molecule, which is glycosylated or sialylated to produce the mature species. Anti-CD56 recognizes two proteins of the neural cell adhesion molecule, the basic molecule expressed on most neuroectodermally derived tissues and neoplasms (e.g. retinoblastoma, medulloblastomas, astrocytomas, neuroblastomas, and small cell carcinomas). It is also expressed on some mesodermally derived tumors (rhabdomyosarcoma). Anti-CD56 plays an important role in the diagnosis of nodal and nasal NK/T-cell lymphomas.

Anti-SMARCC1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Bioss

Involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). May stimulate the ATPase activity of the catalytic subunit of the complex. Also involved in vitamin D-coupled transcription regulation via its association with the WINAC complex, a chromatin-remodeling complex recruited by vitamin D receptor (VDR), which is required for the ligand-bound VDR-mediated transrepression of the CYP27B1 gene. Belongs to the neural progenitors-specific chromatin remodeling complex (npBAF complex) and the neuron-specific chromatin remodeling complex (nBAF complex). During neural development a switch from a stem/progenitor to a post-mitotic chromatin remodeling mechanism occurs as neurons exit the cell cycle and become committed to their adult state. The transition from proliferating neural stem/progenitor cells to post-mitotic neurons requires a switch in subunit composition of the npBAF and nBAF complexes. As neural progenitors exit mitosis and differentiate into neurons, npBAF complexes which contain ACTL6A/BAF53A and PHF10/BAF45A, are exchanged for homologous alternative ACTL6B/BAF53B and DPF1/BAF45B or DPF3/BAF45C subunits in neuron-specific complexes (nBAF). The npBAF complex is essential for the self-renewal/proliferative capacity of the multipotent neural stem cells. The nBAF complex along with CREST plays a role regulating the activity of genes essential for dendrite growth.

Anti-MYT1L Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-MYT1L Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Prosci

MYT1L Antibody: The myelin transcription factor 1 family, to which the myelin transcription factor 1-like protein (MYT1L) belongs, is expressed primarily in the developing central nervous system and recruits histone deacetylase (HDAC) to regulate neural transcription. Both MYT1L and the related protein MYT1 interact with SIN3B, a protein that mediates transcriptional repression by binding to HDACs, suggesting that the MYT1 family favor the silencing of genes during neural development. Recent studies suggest that polymorphisms of MYT1L may be associated with schizophrenia.

Anti-TCTN3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-TCTN3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Prosci

TCTN3 Antibody: TCTN3 is a member of the Tectonic protein family, a group of evolutionarily conserved secreted and transmembrane proteins that regulate the Hedgehog (Hh)-mediated patterning of the neural tube. While the expression pattern and function of TCTN3 is not known, it is 58% similar to TCTN1. TCTN1 is expressed during embryonic development in regions that participate in Hh signaling, beginning in the gastrulation stages in the ventral node. Mice expressing mutant TCTN1 die between E13.5 and E16.5 and display holoprosencephaly, a defect associated with reduced Hh signaling, indicating the role of TCTN1 as an Hh activator. At later stages in development, TCTN1 is thought to also act as a repressor on the Hh pathway in the anterior and posterior neural tube.

Anti-OLIG2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-OLIG2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Prosci

The oligodendrocyte transcription factors 1 and 2 (OLIG1 and OLIG2, respectively) make up part of basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) family of transcription factors that are specifically expressed in zones of the neuroepithelium from which oligodendrocyte precursors emerge. Both OLIG1 and OLIG2 genes are downstream targets of Sonic hedgehog and are expressed exclusively in the central nervous system. OLIG2 is first observed in the ventral most p3 progenitor domain of the ventral neural tube while OLIG1 is first expressed in the dorsal portion of the p3 domain. Mice overexpressing OLIG2 exhibit impaired potassium channel expression in neural progenitors and proliferation of these cells similar to that seen in Down Syndrome, suggesting that OLIG2 may play a role in this pathology.

Anti-GRINA Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Bioss

Glutamate receptors mediate most excitatory neurotransmission in the brain and play an important role in neural plasticity, neural development and neurodegeneration. Ionotropic glutamate receptors are categorized into NMDA receptors and kainate/AMPA receptors, both of which contain glutamate-gated, cation-specific ion channels. Synaptic and extrasynaptic NMDA receptors have been shown to have opposite effects on neuronal survival, CREB function and gene regulation. As one of the four major proteins of the NMDA receptor ion channel, GRINA (Glutamate [NMDA] receptor-associated protein 1), also designated NMDA receptor glutamate-binding subunit or putative MAPK-activating protein PM02, is a 371 amino acid multi-pass transmembrane protein. Due to the chromosomal location of the gene encoding GRINA, studies have linked possible GRINA involvement with a form of idiopathic generalized epilepsy.

Anti-PICK1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-PICK1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Proteintech

Protein interacting with C kinase 1 (PICK1) was first cloned as a PKC-binding partner through yeast two hybrid system. PICK1 acts as a critical regulator of membrane receptors’ subcellular trafficking to modulate neural processes such as learning and memory, and is widely expressed in brain, testis, heart, lung, liver, kidney and muscle. It probably binds to and organize the subcellular localization of a variety of membrane proteins containing some PDZ recognition sequence, for instance, PICK1 is a critical mediator of α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid receptor (AMPAR) trafficking in neural synapses. PICK1 expression on D-serine release and glutamate transport in astrocytes suggests a potential implication of PICK1 in the progression of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). PICK1 may also participate in breast cancer development through inhibition of TGF-β signaling.

Anti-FAIM2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Bioss

Programmed cell death regulates a number of biological processes such as normal organism development, tissue homeostasis, and removal of damaged cells. Disruption of this process has been implicated in a variety of diseases such as cancer. FAIM2 is a recently identified protein that can inhibit the apoptotic signal transduced by the Fas receptor but not from the related tumor necrosis factor-alpha death signal. In this respect, FAIM2 is functionally similar to the anti-apoptotic proteins FAIM, FLIP and Bcl-xL. FAIM2, a seven membrane spanning protein, can bind the Fas receptor but does not regulate Fas expression or inhibit binding of FADD to Fas. FAIM2 is widely distributed, but highly expressed in the hippocampus and other neural tissues. FAIM2 was also identified as the neural membrane protein 35 (NMP35) and its expression is known to be regulated by the Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-Akt/PKB pathway.
