The Tuf-Steel gasket combines the outstanding chemical resistance of a fluoropolymer with the rugged durability of stainless steel. Made of a unique blend of PTFE and 316L passivated stainless steel, this gasket eliminates the potential for gouging and forms a leakproof seal. It contains no pigments and has a pharmaceutical-grade inner diameter finish. Virtually impervious to steam, they are an outstanding choice for steam in place (SIP) and water for injection (WFI) applications. Well suited to hot oil lines and cooker/processor food lines. Not recommended for continuous or full vacuum service. This material has a USP Class VI certification and meets USDA and 3A sanitary standards. Usable from –20 to 500 °F (–29 to 260 °C).
