About this item

Tubes are suitable for collection, transport, and processing of capillary blood samples from infants, toddlers, children, geriatric patients, and patients in intensive care.

Serum and plasma tubes may be used for testing parameters in clinical chemistry. Tubes with a gel separator contain an inert, acrylic barrier in the base of the tube with a specific gravity that lies between the clot/cells and serum/plasma. During centrifugation, the gel will shift to form a stable barrier between the clot/cells and the serum/plasma. The barrier remains stable for transportation. The EDTA tubes may be used for testing parameters in hematology.
