About this item

SeaPlaque® is a low-melting, temperature agarose perfect for DNA/RNA recovery, In-Gel PCR/Ligation/Transformation, tissue culture and viral plaque assays.

  • Quality tested to certify performance
  • DNAse/RNAse free
  • Low melting temperature

SeaPlaque® is the original low melting temperature agarose

SeaPlaque® GTG® is a low melting temperature agarose designed for the separation of DNA fragments between 100 bp to 23,000 bp and is ideally suited for direct enzymatic manipulation of nucleic acids in remelted agarose. SeaPlaque® GTG® Agarose is tested and certified for ligation-transformation and restriction digestion using remelted agarose protocols. SeaPlaque™ GTG agarose has no detectable DNase or RNase activity.

This molecular biology grade agarose produces gels with greater sieving properties and higher clarity than standard melting temperature agarose. The low melting temperature of SeaPlaque™ agarose makes it ideal for preparative DNA and RNA electrophoresis, while its low gelling temperature is ideal for cloning of tissue culture cells and viral plaque assays.
