The SQ Tissue DNA Kit is a unique scalable system that permits the isolation of high molecular weight DNA from variable starting sample amounts. The tissue is lysed with a detergent-based buffer and proteins are precipitated out with salt solution. The released DNA is purified and concentrated via alcohol precipitation.

The Mag-Bind® Tissue DNA systems are used for preparation of genomic, viral, and mitochondrial DNA from animal tissue, buccal swabs, mouse tails, whole blood, buffy coat, and cultured cells using paramagnetic beads. Magnetic beads can be used in 24, 96, or 384-well formats to fit your sample size, with the flexibility to process manually or with automation. By eliminating retention volume commonly seen with filter-based applications, magnetic beads allow for higher recovery and optimal yield. Magnetic stands can be added to liquid handlers which utilize the SBS format and can be programmed for your application allowing simultaneous processing of multiple plates. The technology allows for higher purity and flexible elution volumes. The Mag-Bind® Tissue DNA Kits are compatible with open formatted instruments such as Hamilton Nimbus, Starlet, Star Plus, Tecan Freedom Evo®, Beckman Coulter Biomek® 2000, 3000, NX, FX, and Thermo Kingfisher® Flex and Kingfisher® Duo.

The E.Z.N.A.® Tissue DNA Kit uses silica membrane technology accompanied by a specialized buffer system to purify DNA from 30mg of tissue or 5x10⁶ cells. The E-Z 96 silica plates can be used with a vacuum manifold, centrifugation, or automated vacuum systems. It is scalable depending on the size of the sample. Up to 10mg of tissue or 2.5 x 10⁶ cells can be purified using the MicroElute® Tissue DNA Kit elution volume.
