About this item

The non-packed Michel-Miller chromatography starter kit system has been designed for high performance, low pressure liquid chromatography (HPLPC) in analytical applications.

Designed and tested by Karl H. Michel and Robert F. Miller at The Lilly Research Laboratories, Indianapolis, IN, this simple-to-assemble kit is constructed of borosilicate glass and PTFE (no o-rings). It is safe to operate, with safety shield, at pressures up to 300 psi, and it is useable with various packing materials. It is chemically inert, features zero dead volume, and is leak-free.

This system provides the chromatographer with a complete concept of high performance liquid chromatography for use at low (0 to 100 psi) and moderate (100 to 300 psi) pressures.

Ordering information: Kit includes the following items: 89051-942 and 89051-944 columns, 89052-118 coupling, 89052-138 injection adapter, 89052-162 and 89052-168 paper filter discs, 89052-984 PTFE nut, 89052-988 wedge insert, 89052-990 insertion tool, 89052-020 shield cap (2), 89052-022 shield (2), 89052-068, 89052-496, and 89052-146 adapters (2 each), and PTFE tubing. This starter kit includes only the basic items for operation. Items such as a pressure gauge, pump, valves, and more are not included.
