Provides an indication of the deposit-forming tendencies of fuels by determining the volume of carbon residue left after evaporation and pyrolysis of a sample oil

Cast-iron block type coking furnace features microprocessor temperature control with °C/°F switchable digital set point and display. Stainless steel cabinet is heavily insulated with a three-layer refractory top for excellent heat retention. Built-in control circuit automatically interrupts power if the block temperature exceeds the programmed cutoff point.
