General purpose acid digestion vessel for dissolving inorganic samples, digesting organic material and to perform hydrothermal synthesis.

• The 23 mL general-purpose bomb has a spring-loaded closure in a stainless steel body
• Designed to be sealed by tightening the cap with a spanner wrench (listed below) instead of tightening by hand
• This produces a tighter seal and permits the bomb to be used at higher temperatures up to maximum at 250 °C
• It also allows higher working pressures, up to 1800 psig

Additional safety protection is provided by a rupture disc built into the bomb head. At pressures in the range of 3500 psig, this double disc will blow out and release the contents of the bomb through an opening in the cover. Maximum O.D. 6.35 cm, I.D. 2.64 cm. Weight (empty) 1020g.
