The envelope containing Bionova® BT93 spore coupon is specifically designed to control plasma or vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization processes. Spore coupons should be incubated in MC1020-2 Bionova® growth medium tube or other medium appropriate for Geobacillus stearothermophilus ATCC® 7953 growth.
f sterilization process was not effective, MC1020-2 growth medium will turn to yellow after incubation between 55 to 62 °C, thus indicating the existence of living Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores in the spore coupon.
If sterilization process was effective, MC1020-2 growth indicating medium will remain its original color. Final readout should be done after a 24-hour incubation between 55 to 62 °C of the growth medium containing the spore coupon.
For conventional culture media like TSB, incubation for 7 days between 55 to 62 °C is recommended
Storage conditions:
T = 10 to 30 °C, RH = 30 to 80%
