The CO₂ cage serves as the primary source of supply to extractors with a capacity of 1600 lbs of liquid CO₂. It provides a safe and convenient solution for constant pressure input levels needed for efficient extraction, and incorporates sixteen 100-pound liquid CO₂ cylinders, DOT certified, attached to a single manifold.

The CO₂ cage comes with supply lines that will connect directly to the extractor, and it is easily filled onsite by connecting local supplier tank truck hose to an exterior fill valve. Load cell monitors constantly read the amount of CO₂ remaining, and replenishment alarms provide reminders of when to refill. You'll never lose a production day because of running out of CO₂.

Onboard electronics, monitors and sensors feed usage data to the touch-panel display for easy operator control. Storage tanks are safely enclosed in a steel cage, while CO₂ alarms constantly monitor the airspace in and around the CO₂ cage.

The typical configuration for smaller production lines is one CO₂ cage for each extractor. For larger production lines with 3 or more extractors, the CO₂ cage can be configured with the MPCart step-up pump to use outdoor bulk tanks as the supply source resulting in fewer CO₂ deliveries and lower CO₂ prices. In this configuration, the CO₂ cage serves as the 'brain' for the MPCart, automatically turning the pump on and off at present levels to keep the CO₂ cage full.
