About this item
Column package includes affinity chromatography and size exclusion chromatography columns to achieve very high purity of his-tagged proteins using a 2-step purification protocol.
- Contains a HisTrap HP column 1 ml prepacked with Ni Sepharose High Performance (HP) affinity resin for preparative purification of his-tagged proteins
- Final purity achieved with HiPrep 16/60 Sephacryl S-200 HR size exclusion chromatography column, removes the trace of impurities or closely related substances and imidazole
- Includes instructions with guidance and tips showing how to get started
Ni Sepharose HP affinity resin consists of highly cross-linked agarose beads to which a chelating group has been coupled. This chelating group is precharged with nickel, which selectively retains proteins with exposed histidine groups. Ni Sepharose HP has a binding capacity that exceeds 40 mg/ml, resulting in high protein recovery.
The size exclusion column is prepacked with Sephacryl S-200 HR chromatography resin, which has a broad fractionation range of Mr 5000 to ~ 250000 for globular proteins. The high sample capacity of the HiPrep column.
