Octadecyl-modified HPTLC silica layers are available as glass plates.

Base material is made of Nano-silica 60
Specific pore volume 0.75 ml/g
Particle size 2 to 10 μm
Specific surface (BET) ~500 m²/g
pH stability 2 to 10
Silica 60 for preparative plates (1000 µm)

Modification: Partial octadecyl, wettable with water, carbon content 7.5%.

Indicators for acid-resistant product with a pale blue fluorescence for short-wave UV (254 nm) and UV-absorbing substances appear as dark-blue to black spots on a light-blue background.

Recommended for aminophenol, barbiturates, preservatives, nucleobases, polycyclic aromatic, hydrocarbons, steroids, tetracyclines, and plasticizers (phthalates).
