Smallest of the VWR® electrophoresis systems, the MINI S can be used for up to 24 samples enabling short and rapid sample separations.

MINI S, MINI M, MINI L and MINI LR electrophoresis systems offer the convenience of direct gel casting in the chamber without the need for external casters. All VWR® horizontal Mini gel systems include a UV-transmissible gel tray, which has a minimum of two comb positions, allowing the user to run from 2 - 12 (depending on the size of the unit) sets of samples for equal distances simultaneously and a fluorescent ruler (silk-screened onto the tray) that aids in the precise photo documentation of each gel run. In total VWR offers four different Mini gel systems which include the MINI LR that is equipped with an internal buffer circulation system.

A comprehensive range of accessories are available for this range. These include stand-alone casting chambers for pouring up to three gels while the chamber is in use. The casting chambers also provide for quick gel casting outside the chamber if the user wishes to re-use the buffer for more than one gel run. There is also an adjustable casting platform with three-point levelling that will accomodate the three sizes of trays: (3) 7×8 cm, (2) 9×11 cm and (2) 12×14 cm.

A wide variety of standard, microtiter (not available for the MINI S), preparative combs and wall combs. The wall comb is placed into one of the comb slots to run a shorter gel. It can be sealed with tape of with agarose of a higher percentage than the gel. Microtiter combs allow for the time saving loading of gels with a multi-channel pipette. All chambers and other acrylic components are fabricated using cast acrylic CNC machined parts for unsurpassed quality and durability in the most demanding labs.
