A single, sterile, soft rayon swab on a plastic shaft with a round bottom plastic tube containing liquid modified Amies transport medium for general microbiology and plate count purposes. Contains no agar. Ideally suited for throat, vaginal, wound, and skin swab applications. The “Venturi” (hourglass) design locks in the sponge and specimen, and prevents exposure to air. Packaged in a clear oxygen barrier wrapper with a tamper-evident seal.
