Cell freezing medium A is frequently used in cell biology research for the cryopreservation of cells. Cell Freezing Medium A (2X) works with Cell Freezing Medium B (2X) at a 1:1 ratio.
Cryopreservation ensures that you have back-up cells in case of contamination and loss of cell supply. It is best to cryopreserve cells when they are at their maximum growth rate or almost confluent. Cell freezing medium A protects cells from damage after freezing and thawing.
