About this item

The VERSA 110 Liquid-Liquid Extraction (LLE) workstation provides a complete walk-away solution for performing liquid-liquid extractions (partition chromatography) with the high throughput and reproducibility expected by today’s laboratories

Features include automatic detection of phase boundary, programmable tip height adjustment for aqueous or organic phase aspiration, powerful shaker for vortex mixing organic solvents and aqueous samples, reagent cooler / heater block with six slots for holding 100 mL reagent tubes and user friendly software interface. Additional benefits include nitrogen manifold option for drying samples, plate cooling / heating block option, automated disposable tip changer, open system compatible with third party labware, kits and reagents and an integrated time controlled sample mixing and liquid handling.

The VERSA 110 Liquid/Liquid Extraction Workstation can be used in diagnostics for 25-hydroxy vitamin D tests, in forensics to test for drugs of abuse such as metanephrine and opiates, in environmental applications, for anatoxin-α in water tests, food applications, for melanin in milk, aflatoxin in fish or β-carotene tests, in sample preparation for LC/MS applications and in general liquid handling for cherry picking and reagent pooling as well as serial and parallel dilution applications.

The workstation features a modular design to include features such as a temperature controlled reservoir for solvent storage, a shaker block for sample mixing, and is available with various other modules for sample preparation such as cooling and heating blocks or the nitrogen dryer for sample concentration and solvent exchange. These flexible configurations allow the VERSA LLE to assist in a wide array of laboratory protocols in addition to liquid-liquid extraction.
