About this item
This gene, through alternative splicing, encodes three different isoforms. Two of the protein isoforms encoded by this gene are specific inhibitors of type 1 serine/threonine protein phosphatases and can bind but not cleave RNA. The third protein isoform lacks the phosphatase inhibitory function but is a single-strand endoribonuclease comparable to RNase E of E. coli. This isoform requires magnesium for its function and cleaves specific sites in A+U-rich regions of RNA.This gene, through alternative splicing, encodes three different isoforms. PPP1R8 antibody can be used for detection of PPP1R8 by ELISA at 1:312500. PPP1R8 antibody can be used for detection of PPP1R8 by western blot at 2.5 ?g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Antibody is purified by protein A chromatography method.
Antibody is lyophilized in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 100 ?L of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/mL.
Aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
