About this item
All Chromolith columns are made of monolithic silica with a characteristic bimodal pore structure.
- Typical flow rates are above 1 µl/min
Chromolith CapRod is a capillary column that combines the speed of monolithic silica technology with the sensitivity of nano-LC, hence enabling new productivity levels for high-throughput proteomics LC applications. In contrast to microparticulate columns Chromolith CapRod can be operated at significantly higher flow rates without loss of performance. Separations can be achieved at 1 to 3 µl/min compared to 200 to 400 nl/min for microparticulate columns.
The monolithic Trapping Column is a capillary trap that is used to concentrate samples before transfering them to the analytical Chromolith CapRod column.
Chromolith 3 mm columns have macropores with 2 µm diameter, giving a column efficiency exceeding 80000 plates/meter. The mesopores are 13 nm (130 Å), the surface modification is octadecylsilan with full end-capping.
