About this item
This solvent repurifier still distills, refluxes, stores and delivers
Septum access located on the side of the still reservoir, which is supplied with septum. Two PTFE stopcocks, located below the reservoir, allow the recycling solvent to reach the boiling flask, take-off to receiver flask, or if both are closed, storage in a graduated 500mL reservoir. Lower joint on distillation path is a [ST] 24/40 joint with a “splash guard” to aid in distillation. The joint on the receiver is a [ST] 14/20. The distillation flask is a round bottom, two-neck boiling flask for use with a mantle. Hose connections are for use with 5/16-inch or 3/8-inch I.D. tubing.
The receiver flask is a recovery style, with [ST] 14/20 joint. This apparatus is fabricated from borosilicate glass.
When used with PTFE sleeves on the joints, the unit is totally grease free. A #50 Ace-Thred holds the cold finger condenser, enabling easy removal for cleaning. The inlet on the body, below the thread, is for nitrogen flushing through the entire apparatus, with outlets on boiling flask as well as above receiver flask.
