About this item
ERp57, also known as GRP58, was cloned by three independent labs, all of which reported that the gene encodes a 505-amino acid protein that shares significant homology with the molecular chaperone protein disulfide isomerase (PDI). The ERp57 sequence was also shown to include a putative nuclear localization motif and an endoplasmic reticulum (ER) retention motif. Studies have shown that ERp57 functions together with calnexin and calreticulin as a molecular chaperone of glycoprotein biosynthesis within the ER.
ELISA: 1/8000. WB: Use at a concentration of 1 - 3 ?g/ml. Detects a band of approximately 60 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 58 kDa) from A549 lysatesNot tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
