COAL TAR, USP is a very viscous black liquid that is obtained as a byproduct of coal gasification or carbonization. It has been used as topical medical treatment for conditions such as psoriasis and dandruff and is formulated as a soap or ointment. This product may also be used for other types of rashes (such as eczema, atopic dermatitis, chronic exudative dermatitis) and may also be used in the bath or as a hand/foot soak. Spectrum Chemical USP products are manufactured, packaged and stored under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) per 21CFR part 211 in FDA registered and inspected facilities.
