About this item
Follicle stimulating hormone is a two-chain glycoprotein gonadotropic hormone that induces maturation of the Graafian follicles of the ovary. It promotes the development of germinal cells in males. It regulates sertoli cells by acting on G-protein-linked cell surface FSH receptors. It activates cytosolic soluble protein tyrosine kinase (CyPTk).
- Soluble in water (50 mg/ml)
It is used in conjunction with asparagine 56-deglycosylated eLHα acted as an antagonist for cAMP accumulation in HEK-293 cells stably expressing the FSH-R, a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) specifically expressed in somatic cells of the gonads and which plays a crucial role in reproduction.
